Monthly tabletop exercise

Once a month, club members sit down — in the room or online — and work through a crisis together: a cyberattack, a new NIS2 obligation put to the test, a flood or an earthquake. A facilitator runs the scenario; you decide what happens next.

What it is

A tabletop exercise is a guided, discussion-based rehearsal of a crisis. A facilitator presents a realistic scenario and adds new developments on a timeline; the group talks through what to do, who decides and what to communicate. Nothing real is switched off — the point is to practise the thinking before it is needed.

How the month's session works

  • A different scenario each month, rotating between NIS2 & compliance, cybersecurity risks & crisis, and natural disasters
  • Hybrid — join in person or online; mixed groups work through the same scenario together
  • Short and focused — a briefing, the scenario in timed stages, then a debrief with the lessons written down
  • Everyone plays a role — decision-maker, IT, communications, operations — and roles change from month to month

Date, time and location

Each month's date, time, venue and online link are shared with members only, on the members' area. They are not published here.

How to take part

The monthly tabletop is for club members. Members are selected and accepted — every application is read by a person — and every member agrees to the Berlin Code of Conduct.

  1. Become a member — apply here. We reply with a decision and, if accepted, the next steps.
  2. Go Pro (optional) — Pro is an add-on any member can switch on month to month; see what Pro includes.
  3. Sign in and RSVP — check the date on the members' area, then use the form on this page.
