Know your backup plan for when the caregiver gets sick too

Illness season plans usually assume one person stays well enough to look after everyone else — but the same household exposure that got the kids sick often gets the caregiver too, days later. Work out, before it happens, who a second call goes to: a relative, neighbor, or co-parent who could step in for childcare, school pickup, or checking on an elderly parent if the usual person is genuinely too sick to function for a day or two.
