Use a PO box or business address for public-facing registrations instead of your home address

Registering a domain, a small business, or an online shop listing often puts your home address on a public, searchable record permanently — WHOIS lookups and business registries don't quietly expire. Use a PO box, a registered agent, or a business mailbox service for anything that goes on public paperwork; it costs a little but keeps your home address out of records you can't easily take back once they're published.
