A convincing "recruiter" chatting with you about a job — asking for your ID, bank details, or a paid "training kit" before you've even spoken to a real person — is increasingly a script or an AI voice/video, not someone actually hiring. The tell isn't bad grammar anymore; it's the pattern: real hiring doesn't require payment from you, urgent same-day decisions, or personal financial details before a formal offer. Verify the company and role independently — through the company's own site, not a link the "recruiter" sent — before handing over anything.
